Ocarina of Time

I finally finished Ocarina of Time, adding to the list of video games that have taken me a really long time and several consoles/computers to finish – the water temple is HARD! To celebrate here is my, somewhat old, Navi cosplay.

This is by far one of my favorite cosplays to wear, people look at you somewhat confused at first then when they figure it out a mixture of joy and hatred washes over their face. Not to mention to number of times you here a quiet “Hey Listen!” behind you. Navi really is one of those characters people love to hate.
The cosplay is in several parts. The tutu is based on the many no sew tutu tutorials (such as this one), I kept the loop loose and pointed the end of the tulle strips to make it somewhat more rounded. The wings I happened to have lying around and the top was a somewhat cobbled together vest thing, with a big peplum. The sign is a silver headband with a cardboard sign connected it using hot glue and coat hanger wire which I hid using more tulle. Also glitter, glitter everywhere.
