Blathers was a bit of an impromptu cosplay, I fell in love with the character after picking up Animal crossing – who doesn’t love a sweet Owl full of puns!?

Putting this cosplay together was a fun challenge in creating a “human” version of the character, as well as keeping it simple and trying to acquire as few new materials as possible. The jacket was the main piece, it’s a super cozy simple robe with some feather accents. Fleece is a great easy material to work with as it doesn’t need any hemming and is very forgiving.
The socks and the bow tie were made from material in my stash, and the pants shirt and shoes were all things I already owned. I found the sweater vest on Amazon and fitted it to my size. The wig also came from Amazon, and I sewed the fleece fronds with wire for some structure, directly to the wig.
